After getting saved in 2017 and recommitting totally to Christ in 2020, she says God told her “I need a return on my investments; go use your gifts.” CiCi refused to allow relationships and expectations to hold her back, and decided she wanted to do something meaningful with her art.

As a young adult, CiCi found herself singing secular music, developing her sound and skills and later joining some friends to open for rapper Common.

Surrendering her art to the Lord, CiCi uses her work as a powerful testament of the power  in Godly obedience, encouragement, and empowerment as an inspiration to others.

Stylistically, CiCi has many musical influences. Growing up, she credits artists like

Jill Scott and Lauryn Hill for showing their creativity without over-sexualized content,

and Erykah Badu, Denise Williams, Anita Baker, Sade as notable inspirations, both in and

out of the booth. Her Gospel influences include Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell, Fred Hammond,

Mary Mary, and Jonathan McReynolds, all of whom she says helped mold her as an artist

and a believer.

After releasing her singles “Shalom'' and “Trust” (both available everywhere), CiCi is ready to let the world hear her ear for hip hop. Coming off of a huge summer where she was featured on the Next Generation Tour in Sacramento, CA by opening up for 1K Phew, Zauntee, Big Breeze, and 1KPson, her new project called “Versatile Praise“ is due out late 2023/early 2024 on all digital outlets!
